Also it's good to see Arch of the Sergii, Temple of Rome and Augustus built in the 1st century, the Twin Gates which are one of the few remaining gates after city walls were pulled down at the beginning of the 19th century. Gate of Hercules also dates from the 1st century. Two Roman theaters can be found on the southern edge of the city. Interesting is also the church of st. Francis which dates from the end of 13th century. When Pula became the seat of a bishoprics, in the 6th century, was built the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
