Apartments in Rabac

Rabac is a cute town located nearby Kvarner bay, just southeast of Labin.
According to population census from year 2001, Rabac has only 1472 inhabitants. But it should be mentioned that that number counts only inhabitants who live in Rabac the whole year.

Climate in Rabac is Mediterranean. As it is located on the edge of Istrian peninsula and Kvarner, in the early summer could raining, but that not last long. Summers are mainly very sunny and hot, and during winter rain is rather to be seen than snow.

But as Rabac is large resort town, no matter of its low population during the year, in summer months it's crowded with tourists. Rabac is capable just in one day to accept 10000 people who will have place to sleep, in hotels or in private accommodations. So that is more than six time more than its regular population. Many household rents rooms, so it is not difficult to find accommodation. If you like camping, there are many camps too.

Rabac has a spirit. It was fisherman's place in the past, now its tourism main branch, but you can still be a witness how hard some people earns theirs bread, as in the evening hours many boats go to open sea fishing and return is just in the morning. But when they come back, they bring with themselves fresh fish, lobsters, shrimps and other sea food, and you can buy it direct from boat while some of their catch is still alive. That's a special feeling, especially for someone who comes from continent. Also, their catch goes directly to restaurants, so when you come out to have dinner, you can be sure that you eat fresh food, caught few hours earlier. In Rabac you can find many restaurants.

Something what have to be mentioned is festival of electronic music. That happens every year during the summer, and it is attended by 2000-3000 people regularly. If you are the one who prefer quiet holidays, you will be satisfied too, as in Rabac is easy to find some real oasis not far away from center, where you will feel that beach is only yours.
