Apartments in Korčula Račišće

Račišće is a bay and a same name village at the north side of the island Korčula in the archipelago of Split. It is distanced 12 kilometers from the town Korčula, the biggest settlement on the island, connected with it by a state road, which is taking you through picturesque landscape passing by tame bays Medvidnjak, Banja, Vrbovica and Kneža with camps and holiday houses. Račišće is the small and silent place; it is not crowded tourist destination, but bustling town Korčula is close enough for the ones seeking wild night life and noisy beaches.
Račišće has beautiful and peaceful beaches, suitable for family vacation. Private apartments and rooms for rent are pretty and cozy. It is a place with just 600 inhabitants who used to live from the incomes of fishing, agriculture and seafaring. First inhabitants moved to this bay from Makarska and Herzegovina, in order to avoid Turks invasion in 17th century, and from that time dates Church of Our Lady, whilst church of St. Nicholas was built at the end of 19th century.
People of Račišće are kind and diligent. They are enriching their tourist offer by renting small boats, ideal for investigation and familiarizing with tame beauty of Dalmatian shore and its crystal shinny sea.
