Apartment Katha - Rovanjska - Zadar region

We spent our summer in Apartment Katha in July. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, Mrs. Dubravka, who is at your service but unobtrusive. The apartment is very tidy, with all the necessary appliances, and we were greeted with a cold drink (beer, water, juice) and homemade fig jam in the fridge. A large, beautifully decorated yard with a barbecue, a concrete bench, ideal for evening gatherings and a solar shower. The beach is a five-minute walk from the apartment and there are plenty of places in the shade. Three cafes, two shops, two bakeries, locals sell fruit and vegetables on the beach. An ideal place for visiting Velebit, Paklenica National Park. Boat trips from Starigrad Paklenica to Zrmanja canyon and to Novigrad.

The apartment has a convenient and quiet location. It is only a few minutes to the beach. There are 2 small shops for shopping nearby and 2 good restaurants. The rooms are modern, clean and well maintained. Even the outside area with grill and nice seating invites you to linger. Excursion destinations to Zadar and Sibenik as well as to various national parks are recommended, Also known in the Velebit Mountains through the Karl May films. We have always felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

We have been to Apartman Katha in Rovanjska 6 times and hope that it will be the 7th time in 2020. This alone is proof that you can feel at home here. We love to be here and feel very comfortable. The accommodation is clean and meets all expectations, but in the southern climate you spend a lot of time in the neat exterior.Various places to sit and a grill invite you to linger, but also an FS device is available and also shows German channels. Particularly noteworthy is the convenient location of the property, it is only a few steps to the bathing area, there are also two small grocery stores in the immediate vicinity and those who do not want to cook have two good restaurants within reach. For explorations by car, the transport connection is of great advantage, so you can use the coastal road leading through Rovanjska to the north, use the motorway entrance on the outskirts towards Zagreb or Split or on the country road to Zadar, about 30 km away, with a ferry port and more beautiful Drive old town. The road inland is also interesting, as you can get to the Velebit Mountains, which run parallel to the coast. The filming locations for the Karl May films made in the 1960s are particularly interesting there. There are also several national parks within easy reach, and after an eventful day, you are happy to come back to your well-tended home and enjoy a glass of red wine while sitting in the garden. This, by the way, without a lot of tourists!
