Holiday in Dubrovnik

I am not a fan of lying on a beach and relaxing. Actually, I'm not a fan of holidays in any way. Sometimes it is fun to go sightseeing to some foreign country, but I think of it as I waste of time – I rather spend time on some of my hobbies. Last year was a lot different than all the previous ones. My friends decided to spend one part of their holiday in Dubrovnik and asked me to join them for a few days because Dubrovnik film festival was about to start. I knew almost nothing about the country, but I had nothing planned, so I decided to go. A fact that I am a huge movie enthusiast helped, but it wasn't the crucial thing.

We had started to look for some cheap accommodation in Dubrovnik. We were eager to find some rooms in Dubrovnik, but couldn't find enough in the same apartment. Because of this, we have decided to look for prices of apartments in Dubrovnik
(for rent, of course). After a few minutes of search, we have found ourselves some rooms near the film festival.

Our holiday in Dubrovnik started with a walk inside an old part of Dubrovnik, the only part worth visiting. We had a coffee on Stradun (it's a main street in this part of the town) and then went to see where the film festival was. We were lucky to see that it really wasn't far away from our apartment. During our walk, we gave our best to see why Dubrovnik is considered to be one of the most beautiful towns in the world. The whole older part of the town is inside the town walls and there are also some towers which used to protect the town. I would really like to depict the scenery and a sense of walking on the walls, looking at the clear sea with a smell of freshness from the water, but I don't think it it possible – you ought to see it yourself.

I must say that the rooms in Dubrovnik were great (actually, a whole apartment in Dubrovnik was). They are a cheap type of accommodation, but we were completely satisfied. Everything was clean and new, which was all we hoped for. I know that a lot of people look for hotels, but you should at least take apartments here in Dubrovnik in consideration. They are a good type of accommodation for a right price.
