Jadrija Beach

Jadrija has always been known as Sibenik city beach and a place where all people of Sibenik gather in summer months to spend days and nights with family and friends. Jadrija therefore has a cult status and can be easily classified as one of the attractions offered by the city of Sibenik. It is less known that Jadrija once was a small island, before the bathing was built. It is located at the very exit from the canal of St. Ante and facing nearby islands and open sea, a colorful sight for all passers-by and travelers. The recognizable sign of Jadrija are changing booths, painted in different colors, erected in the 20s of the last century, but also the lighthouse built in 1871 to be included among the monuments of culture today. Next to the main bathing area the soft pine forest follows the shore with the pebble beaches perfect for children towards Srima on the west. Along the beach there are bars and restaurants, ready to host you and praise you day and night. The open sea that passes islands of Zlarin, Lupac and Prvic brings pleasant freshness of the mistral on the coast of Jadrija, thus it is popular among surfers and windsurfers.
