Lokvarka cave

Lokvarka cave is a 70-meter-deep karst phenomenon. If you have booked affordable accommodation in Lokve, you will not have to start your car to reach this place. Lokvarka is only a kilometer away from the town center. It is situated on the slope of the Kameniti vrh hill and is the deepest cave in Croatia, adapted for visitors. A staircase of 300 steps connects underground galleries adorned with incredible geological formations. When the snow melts outside, Lokvarka cave is filled with small streams, and while the summer sun is scorching mercilessly outdoors, inside it remains a pleasant 8 degrees Celsius.
