Matulji is a town located very close to Opatija. It is a district, with total population of 10544 inhabitants according to population census from 2001. Matulji don’t have exit to the sea. Small businesses are well developed in Matulji district, and many household own some kind of business. Tourism is not so developed as for example in nearby Opatija, but you can still find some private apartment where you can stay. Also, Matulji has all what is necessary for normal life. So in Matulji are exist sport clubs, ambulance, stores, many bars and restaurants, many associations, two ordinary schools any many cultural associations.
