Medieval ruins Palace Sukosan

Medieval ruins Palace Sukosan is the first thing that catches the eye on the Sukosan quay. Those are the walls of the palace that seem to stand right on the sea surface. Sukosan bay has something that does not exist in other Dalmatian towns, remains of the medieval summerhouse in the middle of the sea, remnants summer house to which we can only swim or sail to by a boat. It used to be a summer house of the Zadar Archdiocese Palace where city dignitaries were vacationing. It was built in 1470 on the orders of Archbishop Mathea Valaresso. It was a monumental building of a rectangular shape. It is interesting that the building was erected on an artificial island in the middle of the bay. Although primarily intended only for pleasure and leisure, Palac also served to defend Sukosan from the Turks during the Crete war. Palac is the symbol of Sukosan today and the attraction that further refines Sukosan famous sunsets. If you have rented an accommodation in Sukosan or destination in the summer, jump into the sea and visit Palac, if you're here at a time when bathing is not the most comfortable, let Palac inspire you with romance and longing at magical Sukosan evenings.
