Potomje is the settlement located in the central part of the Pelješac peninsula, 2.5 km indented from the sea and 15 km south-east of Orebić. There is a tunnel 400 meters long in Potomje due to the easier access to the slopes of the sea, which has now become one of the tourist attractions of this small town. At the exit of the tunnel there are two roads leading to destinations on the coast, left leads to Borak, and right one to Potočnica. Potomje is famous of the best black wine production in Croatia (Dingač, Postup, Plavac) since it is located in the part of the Dingač breed vineyard area. The population is mainly engaged in the cultivation of vines, the production of top-quality and world-famous wines protected by geographical origin, olive cultivation and farming. Due to the rich offer of wines, natural beauties, gastronomic offer and numerous historical sights, Potomje is an interesting tourist destination for all forms of tourism.
