Villa Alice is located in an ordered and peaceful suburb Lamanova in Rovinj. Situated near the center to which you will soon arrive on foot. The facility has 4 new and well equipped apartments. The house has a wonderful garden with a barbecue. Were provided free parking spaces. It is recommended to go to the center without a car, 5-8 minutes walk. Restaurants, supermarket, butcher, hairdresser, beauty salon located in the immediate vicinity.
APARTMENT: The studio must have been newly renovated or at least felt so. Matching furniture, comfortable double-bed. Spacious wardrobe. Efficient A/C. Well-working WLAN-internet, provided without extra cost. The kitchenette was well equipped for making breakfast (we had no need for more serious cooking, but it would probably have turned out a bit challenging, due to lack of space and tools). Nice-looking, functional bathroom. Minor disadvantage there was the very low sink, convenient only for a child... Slightly inconvenient was the total lack of hooks (for towels etc), would have been nice to have especially in the bathroom. Never direct sun exposure towards the windows, which was a blessing in July. The balcony was big enough for two persons and almost always in the shade. SERVICE: Helpful, friendly owner (for instance lent us a hair-dryer and gave us a ride to the city centre on our departure). Quick and informative responses to our emails during the booking process. LOCATION: 600 m to the (beginning of the) city centre. A steady downhill walk to the city center - and, yes, a steady uphill walk back. 600 m to the closest beach. Slightly more than 1 km to the Lone Beach, which we found much nicer than the closest beach. Two small food shops in the same street as the house. A big supermarket, "Valtiala", 15 mins walk away. Two good restaurants in the neighbourhood: La Perla very close to our house and Tugurio in a reasonable walking distance (and at least not an uphill/downhill walk). NOISE LEVEL: The house is advertised as quiet and that's probably true if you sleep with closed windows and use the A/C. Someone who prefers to have the windows open during the night, should expect a bit of noise, especially from the early morning commuter traffic with its surprisingly frequent stream of cars and rather noisy light motorbikes. OTHER THINGS: The owner warned for mosquitos and gave us an electrical anti-mosquito-thing to plug into wall. Probably this one was very efficient - at least we observed just one or two mosquitos during our whole stay. Be aware that there is no sign on the house stating "Villa Alice", so it's good to keep the exact address in mind, given that there are plenty of houses in this street providing rooms... SUMMARY: We were very satisfied with our stay in this studio at Villa Alice and found it excellent value for money. We definitely would like to recommend it to anyone hea
