Škrip is the oldest place on the island of Brač, and administratively it belongs to Supetar. It proves its authenticity as a museum of architectural tradition where you can feel the history through the simplicity of the life of the local population. The most visited part of this place is the Radojković tower, built in the 16th century, and the foundations of the tower were built 1500 years before Christ. With around 12,000 visitors a year, this museum is the biggest attraction on the island of Brač, which is associated with the legend that the wife and daughter of the emperor Deocletian (Valerija and Priska) were buried here. In addition to the museum, there is also the castle of the Cerinić family from the 16th century, and two Roman sarcophagi located in front of the castle. Then two churches, the church of St. Helen from the 4th century and the Church of St. Deer from the 18th century. Škrip is a place with an extremely rich history, and as such it is definitely worth visiting. To make the atmosphere unique, the local population provided accommodation for their guests in comfortable apartments and rooms in family houses, so that they could enjoy all the historical charms of this place unhindered.
