Relax in Croatia

I've never liked traveling, even the  shortest bus and car rides were a great pain for me. Because of my unwillingness to travel, me and my wife haven't been on a holiday for a few past years. This wasn't a problem for me, but my wife grew sick of it, so this year it was time for a change. We both decided to make a compromise: I will stop nagging and she will do her best to find us a place as close as possible to the place where we live. While searching for an ideal location, we decided to take into consideration only places which have an airport – I'm to lazy to travel by bus or car, so I couldn't be cheap at the same moment. There were several destinations we liked, but most of them weren't near the seaside  - I didn't want to spend my holiday walking, climbing or biking, relaxing on a beach seemed like a much better option – which didn't leave us with much possible options. After a quick debate, we decided to spend our holiday in Croatia.

We have already seen some commercials about this country, so we actually knew where we wanted to go even before we had started our search. Videos and commercials which we have previously seen were beautiful: there were vast green forests, beautiful sea, clean beaches and astonishing ancient towns. Basically, this was everything we wanted – I could simply lie on the beach doing nothing while my wife could go sightseeing. We had decided to spend our holiday in Croatia relaxing, so we had decided that we wanted to stay in a hotel. While we were searching for an accommodation in Croatia we knew that a hotel is our only option, we have  found several articles stating that apartments in Croatia are great because of level of freedom you have – basically, you rent a whole apartment for a week. It was too much freedom for us, so hotel suited our needs perfectly.

Though holiday in Croatia seemed like a great thing on television, I must admit that I have been a little bit skeptic, but our turned to be so much better than I had predicted: it was so great to be served and treated like a king for a week, even my wife got so much into this relaxing thing that she went sightseeing only twice during our holiday, all the other days lying on the beach or near a hotel swimming pool. If you have some money, don't even look for types of accommodation in Croatia, rather choose a hotel. Though it may appear that apartments in Croatia are the best choice, you won't be able to relax as much as if you have stayed in a hotel.
