Ježinac beach in Split

Ježinac beach in Split offers a magical turquoise sea and pebble areas. If you have rented an apartment, room or holiday house in Split, you will find this beach along with a number of beaches at the foot of the Marjan hill. You will recognize it by the sympathetic sea urchin (ježinac in Croatian) sculpture that adorns its shores. Although the sea urchin itself is not sympathetic at all, there are no sea urchins on the beach, at least not in such numbers that they pose a threat to swimmers. You can leave the children to a carefree splash in the shallows, and the sea urchin here and there, along with many other marine species that inhabit the seabed here, are just a sign of the biodiversity of the Adriatic and clean sea water.
