Winter holidays we spent in Podstrana near Split this year were quite memorable. We got extremely lucky to contact young Dario Despotusic when inquiring about accommodation with proper heating for late December temperatures. He was responsive, kind and provided us a lot of information we needed in advance, e.g. wellness facilities and such. At the time of our arrival, the apartment was not only very well equipped, clean and homely, but also warm. Moreover, the supper was made especially for us. At this point it is necessary to emphasize that Villa Darion is not only about Dario and his enthusiasm, but also about his mother Nevenka, who has been excellent host and even better cook. Podstrana at the beginning of January is to be recommended for people who like hiking, while Villa Dario will be recognised as an excellent place to spend holidays, with owner at guests disposal whenever needed, yet unobtrusive and discreet. To Darius Podstrana to ride with the whole family for the last 6 years. We go to Croatia for 20 years and here is what we are looking for all the time and so happy to return here. Accommodation here is great and we feel like at home. Such things as parking near the house, the possibility of using the garden, grill, sitting at home or toys for our children is commonplace. If a problem occurs (car, health ...) will immediately help is at hand, and the home will pay maximum attention. The house is situated on a hill above the sea, allowing beautiful views of the sea and surrounding islands. There is peace and quiet and parents will appreciate the fact that here the children can play and are safe. Even though we were here as early as 6 th, bored, because Podstrana is in the heart of Dalmatia and is still where to go on a trip or ice cream with a tour of the historic old towns eg. Split, Trogir, Omis, Makarska ... If kids they want a sandy beach is also not a problem, and 10 km from the apartment is a beautiful sandy beach in Omis. We go here regularly for 2 weeks and never wants us home. We are happy to return here.

Me and 6 members of my family spend two weeks in Dario's Villa and we was very impressed with this place as well as very friendly and helpful owners who make this place feels like home. Very nice and quiet place away from busy and noisy street of Split but not far from it. Walking distance to nearest beach. Highly recomending this place to anybody who looking for a holiday in Central Dalmatia.
