Varaždin is a town in the northwester part of Croatia which is located along the banks of the river Drava. It is the centre of Varaždin County, one of the oldest counties in Croatia, with approximately 50,000 inhabitants and has become a favourite tourist destination of this region due to its cultural heritage, history and economy.
