Zagreb Youth Theatre (ZKM) is an avant-garde, progressive, and educational theatrical institution that serves as a platform for exploring new dramatic forms and for educating new generations of audiences and artists. Accommodation in Zagreb find in the very city center, where ZKM is located at 7 Teslina Street - an easily accessible part of the dynamic cultural axis of the city, not far from Ban Jelačić Square. The theatre was founded in 1948 as the Children Theatre, but over time it evolved its mission, recognizing the need for more complex, experimental, and socially engaged content aimed at adolescent and young audiences, as well as adults. With its renaming to the Zagreb Youth Theatre, the institution clearly committed itself to an innovative and unconventional approach to drama. ZKM is unique in that it systematically nurtures not only professional work but also amateur and educational programs. Through its Drama Studio, it has produced generations of outstanding actors and cultural professionals, thereby actively shaping the future of the Croatian theatre scene.
