is a magical, small town on the island Hvar
, which is unique not only for it's architecture, but also because of it's special settlement. Vrboska is hidden deep in the bay and therefore it is protected from moody sea and playful winds. In the middle of that bay is small island, which is connected with the rest of the city by bridges, just like in Venice, and that is the reason why Vrboska is called Little Venice. Streets are so meandering and mysterious, that they will saturate You with their stories so you can detect their history on the spot. You will see that every house in old town has it's own Romanesque, Gothic or Baroque past and it is all parenthesized in a fishing tradition of this place. This tradition can well be seen in Fishing museum, which has all the fishing equipment and the rest of old fish factory in its collection. Beside museum there is improvised fishing house, which leaves the viewer with the whole picture of hard life of former fishermen and farmers. The miracle of the architecture in this small place can also be seen in number of churches dominating on this portion of Hvar.
The tourist offer in this place has a long and successful tradition. Quality private accommodation
, namely apartments with pleasant hosts
, tasteful and healthy island food, famous wine, olive oil and aromatic spices.
Interesting is also nudist offer of Vrboska with nudist small island and camp. And another thing Vrboska is famous of are its beaches, divine and unforgettable.
