Novi Vinodolski is a town located south of Crikvenica, settled on the abrupt hill. It is on the Adriatic. Its location is very good because it is easy to access it from all over the Europe, as it is situated near all main roadways in Croatia. It is only about 180 kilometers far away from Zagreb, and about 30 kilometers away from the airport on the island Krk. Novi Vinodolski contains 20 small villages.

Novi Vinodolski, which is often called Novi by the locals, has rich history, so tourist could see many sights and hear many interesting stories from the past. Name of Novi was first time written in the year 1288, when Vinodolski Zakonik was made, very important document for that time. Some sights which are also worth to be seen are Old walls of Roman fortress "Lopsica", Frankopan fortress with castle, remains of monk monastery "Pavlina", house of the brother Mazuranic, Cathedral, Church of St. Trinity and Church of St. Marin located at the small island with the same name, Reading room and Library built in 1845, homeland museum and gallery, nucleus of the old city's center, as well as preserved authentic and original folklore of this city.
